Step By Step Process to Connect and Cast MacBook to Roku:
Connecting and casting your MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, or iMac devices on your Roku TV is pretty simple. But you will have to follow all the steps with a clear focus.
Because if you miss anything in between, this might not work for you. So, here is what you will do to cast or have a bigger screen of Roku TV from your Mac Computer.
Step 1: Turn On The Screen Mirroring on a MacBook or iMac:
One of the easiest methods to use for casting or displaying your MacBook on Roku TV is Screen Mirroring or Airplay
This option lets you display anything from your Mac computer to this Roku TV.
However, how will you do so? Here is a quick method to make things easier for you! It is just like scanning a QR Code on your Mac.
First, turn on the Screen Mirroring on your Apple MacBook Air, Pro, or iMac. This can be done by clicking on the Control Center and selecting the Screen Mirroring option.
Step 2: Turn On Airplay On Roku TV:
Now, the next thing you need to do is to turn on the Apple Airplay option on your Roku TV.
But before you do that, ensure your MacBook, iMac, and Roku TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi or internet connection. Only then will you be able to complete this connectivity.
On Roku TV, go to Settings and click on the Network option.
Next, keep scrolling until you see the Apple Airplay and HomeKit options on your Roku TV.
Press OK here, and you will have a new window stating Airplay. The Airplay will open up after a few seconds.
Here, you need to make sure that your Airplay has turned On.
Step 3: Figure Out The Roku TV Connectivity Code:
In this step, you will finally connect your MacBook to Roku. To do so, you’ll see a Require Code option. Make sure it is turned to First Time Only.
This means you must enter the code on your Roku Screen to your MacBook to make this connection successful.
Here, you can also configure a different password, which you can set every time you connect your MacBook to Roku TV.
But if it’s only you who will use the MacBook and Roku, you can skip the option to only for the first time!
Step 4: Connect Your MacBook to Roku
Now, you will finally connect the MacBook to Roku TV. Again, click on the Control Center of your MacBook or iMac.
You’ll see the Roku TV name appearing here. This is only possible when both devices are connected to the same WIFI.
